Mom's Spaghetti Bolognese Sauce

Mom's Spaghetti Bolognese Sauce

1 lb ground beef
1/2 onion, diced
8 oz sliced mushrooms
2 TBL chopped garlic
2 large cans (28 oz ea.) crushed tomatoes
1 14 oz can diced tomatoes
1 4 oz can tomato paste
1 Tbl granulated sugar (or 1 freshly grated carrot)
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried basil
1/4 tsp. black pepper
3 bay leaves

Brown ground beef, onion and mushrooms in a medium skillet. Drain off grease. Add in remaining ingredients, bring to boil. Simmer 1 hour, discard bay leafs before serving. Serve over pasta with parmesan cheese.

Not to many kids get Bolognese spaghetti! It looks great!

I prepped all this tonight. Going to put in the crockpot tomorrow and leave on low =)
