-closed- Tomoson Review and Giveaway: Pink Digital Photo Keychain

Sponsored by Tomoson.com

I have recently started reviewing products for a new company called Tomoson. One of the items I was approved for was this Pink Digital Photo Keychain byWholesaleKeychain.com valued at $9.99. Readers, Please Note!

So, I have decided to change things again with my 2 blogs. I am moving my recipes over to here http://mommyimhungry.blogspot.com/ and keeping my product reviews and giveaways here at  this URL http://ldylvbgr.blogspot.com/ . I really want to keep the two separate. So, may I ask any of my recipe blog followers from here, please follow me there at the new URL in my Google Friend Connect and Facebook too if you don't yet.

I am trying to work on a direct URL from http://mommyimhungry.blogspot.com/ to a domain addie, but it's giving me troubles. I'm not skilled in puter issues like that, lol. Would anyone know out there?

I will work on adding some of the most recent recipes to there as well as new ones, so please bear with me. I will keep older recipes here, so you can still find them. I decided to do this on a whim. lol

*please note all product reviews and giveaways are posted here now http://ldylvbgr.blogspot.com/

My Own Review for the local Yoplait Fiber One Yogurt Blogging Event:

As a San Diego blogger, I was invited by PR to attend a Yopliat Fiber One low fat yogurt taste testing event at the Westfield North County Shopping Center in Escondido from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday, August 28 & 29, we had the chance to try the yogurt in either Strawberry or Key Lime Pie flavors.
Having never been to this mall before (it's 35 minutes away), I wasn't sure where in the mall it'd be (and I hate walking around malls to find something, them being so large and how you get lost....). This mall is easily located off the 15 freeway so I was glad for that. I figured if I parked in the middle of the mall, surely they'd be located close by right? Sure enough as I was finding a parking spot I saw the Fiber One truck parked there! Yay, I knew I must've been close. Little Boy and I walked our short ways to the center location of then mall entrance, and was blown away by how nice this mall is! This mall is 3 story levels. We walked in and saw the event set up just 1 level below us in the common area, thank goodness it was close by! I snuck some photos from above. We went down to check it out, but the cute little ride on train they mall has caught Little Boy's attention first.

We went to the Yopliat Fiber One tables and was greeted by the nice promoters offering a full sizer cup of yogurt to us. We tasted the strawberry flavor. Of coure I knew all about these already, having done a review before. This yogurt is nice and creamy, wonderful flavor and only 50 calories! Little Boy enjoyed it very much! I introduced myself as a blogger and was then introduced to Patrick another promoter. They let us play the Great Taste Wind Machine game where we had to try to grab as many Yoplait Yogurt pictures amongst the celery and grapefruit pictures on like 30 seconds or so being blown around us. Little Boy and I had fun doing this, it's not as easy as you'd think! We managed to get I think 6 yogurt pictures. For that I won a Yoplait Fiber One shopping bag full of the Yoplait Fiber One yogurt!! Whoo hoo!! Since I was going to do a little shopping (hey I had a great coupon from JC Penny to use and I needed to find some black flip flops -which I did!) and ride the train around the mall with my little boy, they let me come back after to collect my chilled yogurt on my way out. Sadly I didn't meet any other bloggers during the time there (I did go early since I had to run off to my girl's races after) but they were busy keeping busy with all the weekend shoppers! We had a great time visiting this event, thank you Yoplait Fiber One for the invite!

**I need to update this as a caution: So we've been eating the Yoplait Fiber One low fat yogurt...Well I must toss it out...chicory root extract, aspartame AND red #40... let's just say it's no good on our tummies. Mostly my poor son! I googled chicory root to see what it was and if that was one of the ingredients upsetting him and found this link. That's where the fiber comes in. Aspartame will upset your tummy also. Seems other Yoplait fiber products are upsetting to others also. Sorry Yoplait, you should probably label this not kid friendly.

I wrote this review for "Mommy? I'm Hungry!" about Yoplait Fiber One yogurt. I was invited as a blogger to attend this free public event. I was given a free $25 gift card for my attendance. All opinions for this review are that of myself & family. Product info & stock images provided by PR or Co.

San Diego Area Bloggers!!! Come with me to the Yoplait Fiber One Taste Testing!

Come with me to take part in a special tasting event for Yoplait Fiber One 50-calorie yogurt – the only leading national brand of nonfat yogurt with 50 calories and 5 grams of fiber.
By joining us at the Westfield North County Shopping Center in Escondido from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. this Saturday, August 28, we'll get the chance to try the yogurt in Strawberry and Key Lime Pie flavors, play games and have fun! There, we'll have the chance to meet and greet other San Diego area bloggers – a great opportunity to connect with each other directly. (yes it's both days the 28 & 29, but I think most bloggers are attending the 28th).
I will be there for a little bit, as I have to run off to my girl's races at the speedway, but I'm excited to meet other bloggers and attend this event! Comment here for a show of hands so I can see who else is going! =)

Tuesdays with Dorie: Crunchy and Custardy Peach Tart

This TWD week, we're baking along with Rachel of sweet tarte to make Dorie's Crunchy and Custardy Peach Tart. Fresh peaches, one of my favorites of Summer!

You know I was invited to the Baking with Betty blog event in MN these past couple days, but because of busy times around here (having to enroll kids in new schools this week, school shopping, Mr's busy work schedule, etc...) I had to sadly decline my invitation and instead I stayed home and baked with my TWDers yesterday. And eat this peach tart! =)

Let me warn you, there are steps to making this tart. You'll need to par bake a crust, let it cool a little, peel the peaches and slice them, make a streusel and bake according to special directions. I also didn't cut and slice/lay my peaches out like Dorie mentioned. Mine were too ripe I guess, more of a mess I'd say. Silly me, I got a little confused by the baking directions and added my streusel after the first 10 minutes, then baked 20 minutes. Then realized it needed another 20 minutes like Dorie mentioned, but my tart was looking pretty dark by then. After I let it cool all day I removed my spring form (sorry still no tart pan here, but it works just as great!) and really saw how dark the crust was. Bummer. I sliced it up for photos and tried a piece. I was reminded back to Dorie's French Pear Tart (which I love!), but this is a little different. It has a baked custard in it. I wasn't too crazy about the custard, the cooked down peaches and the over baked crust. I'm sad to say, the only crunchy part of this tart was the over baked crust.

I think this would be great as a more cold pudding like custard with fresh raw slices of peaches and whipped cream. That'd be a whole other recipe then wouldn't it? Anyways, here is my tart photos...

oh yeah, here's how to peel a peach video here incase you need to know. It's easy but like me, you may need to do it a couple times to get the peel off.

enjoy,

-closed- Review and Giveaway: Copco's Eco-Friendly To-Go Cups: 5 Winners!

Copco recently contacted me to see if we'd like to review their eco-friendly to-go cups. Sure, I knew Mr. would love this, finally something he can review! =)

These cups are great! They look just like the disposable ones you'd get from the drink shop, but they are a sturdy BPA free cup so they don't bend or smash and the lids screw on and won't pop off like the disposable ones. But watch out! You wouldn't want a coworker thinking that because the drink is gone that they would accidentally toss these into the trash! These are not trash. You reuse these! Wash them in the dishwasher or by hand.

So Mr. uses the Copco To Go Mug for his coffee on the way to work. The first day he used it he came home, and raved about how awesome it is!! Even his coworkers (bunch of contractors) thought it was pretty neat. He liked that it looked like the real disposable cups, but this one would outlast those for many years to come.

I have yet to try the Stir 'n Sip cup, but I like that at the end of the straw there's a little stirrer thing. I'm always swirling around my straw in the disposable cups to keep it stirred, so this would be perfect! I can't wait to try it out on smoothies.

I also love the no slip grip around these cups, whether it's hot or a cold drink, your hands will be ok.

The Stir 'n Sip Cup™ is the new generation of Copco's To Go beverage containers. It looks and works just like the classic cold beverage cup, but it‟s reusable.
The simple design shows how clear the transition can be to go green. The 24-ounce cup includes a quarter-turn lid sealing mechanism and reusable stirrer straw so you can stir as you enjoy your favorite drink. Its textured, non-slip grip makes it easy to carry and keeps cold beverages from feeling cold to your hands. Great for iced coffee, tea or smoothies!
For $7.99, the choice is clear; lend a hand to mother earth and keep one less cup away from a landfill. This environmentally friendly cup is dishwasher safe and is BPA-free.

The Copco To Go Mug makes a statement, pure and simple. Copco's newly designed 16 oz. thermal travel mug works as an instant reminder to be kinder to the earth.
Taking after the classic to go coffee cup, the Copco To Go Mug is sure to attract double-takes. Its textured, non-slip grip even mimics a traditional insulation sleeve.
Plus, it' s microwave and dishwasher safe, features a double-wall plastic construction for enhanced insulation, and is BPA-free.
Priced at $7.99, it‟s a great way to say “I care.”

Where to buy these cool travel cups? Or scroll down and enter to win!

FIVE "Mommy? I'm Hungry!" readers will win a set of these Copco To-Go cups! How cool is that? (one of each to-go cup)

All you have to do is tell me what kind of drink you take most often on the go!

-closed- Another $125 CSN Stores Giveaway!!

So have you thought about those kitchen tables we talked about the other day? Mr. and I were talking about our Holiday dinners how the family comes over...I mentioned how since we need bar stools anyways, why not get something like a Pub set, they have tall chairs (which I prefer to a standard stool) that would work perfectly at the bar. That's Mine! Not Yours!

I just had a blog reader email me about a review I did last year asking about Aromatica Organic Spice It Now packets...she wanted a link to their website since the one I posted was broken. So I asked Google. I searched and searched and couldn't find one yet...but what I did find was pretty surprising! A website geared towards savings and deals and such....and in that google search was a link to one of their posts, that had MY BLOG PHOTOS and TEXT on it, hurry and check it out here. There's NO link back or credit to myself for that blog review I did in their post. Shame on them! Yeah I facebooked and tweeted about it already.

screen shots I took of that website:

So if you're reading my blog post again, looking for more content, read this...LINK BACK PLEASE! =)

Now let me get back to that email....

*UPDATE: I had messaged her to please credit back, and to my amazement, she so kindly did. Thank you!

FYI- I do not mind the use of my photos IF: A. you ask me for permission, B. you give credit back to my name or blog link.
IF I do find my photos and such on your site, I WILL call you out on it and ask you to credit back and if you can't do that then to please remove it.

=)
