Twinlab Marine Friends Children’s Omega-3 Powder: Review and Giveaway

Twinlab® Marine Friends™ Children’s Omega-3 Powder is a versatile, light tasting powder that blends almost invisibly into everyday foods and drinks like orange juice, yogurt, applesauce, baby food and fruit smoothies. Our formula contains a naturally sourced combination of DHA and EPA that is molecularly distilled for purity and provides 127mg of Omega-3s per serving, with no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives or sweeteners added.
Packaged in convenient, super portable stick packs, Marine Friends™ makes it easy for kids and moms to get their Omega-3s at home or on the go.

For some reason, I thought I had already posted this, but I guess not. Anyways, I was excited to try these, since no one else in this family likes fish, I thought it was a great idea to have Omega 3 in powder form! Well, silly me, dissolved one of these in a glass of water and gave it to the little ones to try. OH MY! They gagged on it, so I tried it. Wow, was it fishy tasting! *shivers* We dumped it out and told them they didn't have to try it again. Then I went online to see if other's reviewed it and see what they thought. Another thought the same, until trying it in juice again. So I tried it in some juice and it was much more drinkable! There wasn't such a fishy flavor, and the little ones even tried it again and said it was better.
SO, if you do try these Twinlab Marine Friends Children’s Omega-3 Powders, I suggest adding it to to a very flavorful juice or food to disguise any fish flavor.

ONE "Mommy? I'm Hungry!" reader will win a box of Twinlab Marine Friends Children’s Omega-3 Powder!

Auntie Anne’s At-Home Baking Kit: Review and Giveaway

Just in time for the holiday gift giving and festive baking season, the fresh baked goodness of Auntie Anne’s products from the world’s largest hand-rolled soft pretzel chain can be discovered in the comforts of one’s home kitchen when they prepare the new At-Home Baking Kit.

The easy-to-prepare kit comes with step-by-step instructions to make 10 Original or Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels, 15 Pretzel Dogs, or one deep dish pizza for out-of-town guests or kids seeking a twist to their typical weekday lunches. Key ingredients in the kit are a yeast packet, special at-home baking Auntie Anne’s dough mix, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon sugar. Since the dough mix is versatile, a recipe for making a deep dish pizza is included on the kit packaging and other recipes for dishes such as stuffing, cinnamon pull apart bread (monkey bread), and bread pudding can be found by visiting http://www.auntieannesrecipes.com/

The art of pretzel making and creatively experimenting with the pretzel dough through shapes, letters, and numbers is an activity kids enjoy. Making the kit offers an entertaining event for a rainy day or a birthday party sleepover. The kit also provides an easy to wrap gift for a teacher, hostess, or child’s birthday party.

The suggested retail price is $5.99 to $7.99. In addition to participating Auntie Anne's stores, the kit is available at specialty retailers, a club store, and regional grocery chains located throughout the United States. The most up-to-date listing of retailers can be viewed on www.auntieannes.com/BakingKitRetailers.aspx.

I was sent a box of Auntie Anne’s At-Home Baking Kit and decided to make their Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels bites and some  Pretzel Dogs. These were both very easy to make, the kit includes most everything you'll need plus directions. Once you have the pretzel or bites shaped, you'll dip them into a baking soda water solution really fast and then bake off. These pretzel dogs came out just beautiful! But they taste even more amazing! They were SO soft delicious. The kids loved the little cinnamon sugar bites I made from a few leftover ropes and scraps. If you haven't tried Auntie Anne's, you must!

ONE "Mommy? I'm Hungry!" reader will win one box of Auntie Anne's At-Home Baking Kit also!

Skillet Bacon Spread: Tomoson Review

Skillet Bacon Spread is SO good!! I was sent a small jar of this deliciousness for review. Have you heard of it? "we make this bacon spread condiment called bacon jam..you say what?.. that’s right, we use niman ranch bacon and render it down along with onions, balsamic and other spices . It cooks for several hours until it is a perfect blend of smoky, tangy, savory and slightly sweet….basically spreadable bacony goodness! USDA approved."

Oh my goodness, you've got to order some of Skillet Bacon Spread/Jam, if you love bacon, you'll love this! I will admit, it doesn't look so pretty at first, but warm some up and it'll look great! It smells SO good, not just bacony, but all the savory ingredients they also add to it. I tried this smeared on a grilled burger (forget adding strips of bacon to your burger, you won't miss them!) and loved it!! Take a look at my burger, I know you want to try this Skillet Bacon Spread! Well, I'm so sad I don't get to give any away, but you can order it this way! This would be a great stocking stuffer for your bacon lover!

More information is available at http://www.skilletbaconjam.com/ or contact eat@skilletstreetfood.com.
