Meet Einstein: MamaBuzz Children's Book Review

Meet Einstein from JKS Communications written by a Mom herself, Mariela Kleiner. Meet Einstein. He is a scientist who loves to study light and gravity. In this book, Einstein helps to introduce your kids to science, and show them that they are already great scientists! Light and gravity are concepts that preschoolers are ready to learn. Help them make the connections in everything they see and do, and teach them that science is all around them.

This is a great science book for preschoolers and beyond. They can learn about Albert Einstein and his passion for learning about light and gravity. This book is full of wonderful illustrations by Viviana Garofoli. My 7 year old has been reading this book everyday, and little Brother loves to listen along. I think their favorite part is talking about gravity, and making things fall down. This is a fun book for the younger kids to learn about science.

You can also check them out onTwitter and Facebook as well.

This book comes available March 1 at the bookstores. Enter here to win a copy of this book at MamaBuzz by March 17!

-closed- Plentyful Pantry No-Bake Key Lime Cheesecake Bars Giveaway and Tomoson Review

Sponsored by Tomoson.com

Dessert is ready in a flash! These no-bake Key Lime Cheesecake Bars from Plentyful Pantry are perfect when you don't feel like taking all day in the kitchen baking a cheesecake. Chill time is just an hour (but I let mine chill all day). All you need for these tart and tangy and still delicious bars, is 2 packages of cream cheese, a little warm water and melted butter. Mix the melted butter with the chocolate crust, press into an 8x8 pan, then mix together the water, cream cheese and cheesecake mix really well then pour onto crust. Easy!

It says to cut into 16 pieces, but who are we kidding? I cut it into 8 pieces. The longer chill time helped my pieces hold up well. Garnished with a little lime zest and we all enjoyed these! The mixes come in the cutest packaged ever too!!

BEKA Fondue Set: Review

Do you Fondue? We don't hardly ever, but will be able to more often now. People with Beka sent us this
Dolce Fondue set for review. Perfect timing as our early Valentine's dessert was extra special. After a long day at our local Safari Park, we relaxed with the Wii and I served this up. Earlier I had made a pound cake (recipe to be posted soon!), brownies and cut up some fresh strawberries and bananas. I used some chocolate syrup from a previous review and in no time, it was warmed by the tea light. My kids & Niece LOVED this dessert, it was fun for them to dip (and loose) their treats! Mr. wasn't in the mood for any, so he missed out. I can't wait to try out some cheeses and breads for this! Mmm!

Fondue is not new, but Beka has brought a whole new style and ease to this traditional cooking method. The term fondue is derived from the French word “fondre” which means to melt. In this customary method of fondue cooking long forks or skewers are used to dip pieces of food into a fondue pot filled with melted chocolate or sauces.
Beka has three different styles of ceramic fondue sets that are designed specifically for use in melting foods for this traditional use. The Dolce, Delice and Blanco are all constructed from finely glazed heavy ceramic that provides an even constant heat that is perfect for melting and warming without burning. Each of these fondue sets has its own distinctive design and includes a matching set of fondue forks that are color coded to avoid confusion between fondue cooks. The Blanco is generously sized for bigger parties and the Dolce is perfect for more intimate gatherings. The Delice’s smaller size makes it perfect for many uses including melting butter for dipping.

Beka has two fondue sets that can heat hot oil for use in cooking meats and fish. The Roma and Korona both come as complete sets that include the fondue pot, fondue forks, heating burners and wide stable bases which ensure fondue parties are both fun and safe. The Korona is constructed from durable stainless steel and features the elegant curves and shapes of traditional design. The Roma features an easy to clean stainless steel exterior with a removable ceramic interior that ensures even steady heat.
For more information about the fondue sets or any other items from Beka’s extensive line of gourmet cookware please visit their website at http://www.bekanorthamerica.com/.

Like all Beka cookware, these fondue sets are built to last using the highest quality materials and the latest in high-tech Belgium design techniques. All Beka cookware is designed to enhance the cooking process, and save energy with materials and construction that diffuse and store heat for even, fast cooking.

About the Company
Founded in 1899, Beka combines over 100 years of engineering excellence with a young and ambitious spirit. This experience and determination has given birth to the brand new Eco-Logic cookware utilizing high-tech Bekadura non-stick coatings to promote healthier lifestyles and a safer environment. Using quality materials and the latest in advanced manufacturing processes Beka creates products that are built to last while setting new standards in the cookware industry. Vosges Haut-Chocolat: Review

Vosges Chocolate sent me a small collection of their wonderful chocolates for review. I was reading about these chocolate online, and many others raved about them. These would be a wonderful gift for your chocolate lover, anytime!

Vosges' exotic truffles are made from the finest ingredients offered around the world. Owner/Chocolatier, Katrina Markoff, personally chooses every spice, flower and chocolate that is flown into our Chicago kitchen. Katrina utilizes the original methods of French confectionery artistry which she learned during her training at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. Having graduated with the Grand Diplôme from Le Cordon Bleu and having worked extensively in France, Spain, Italy, Southeast Asia and Australia her collections of haut-chocolats have great, worldly inspirations. Inspired by her global apprenticeships, Vosges truffles have exotic influences of an "East meets West" theme. The infusions of rare spices and flowers combined with premium chocolate give a delicate balance of flavor, leaving you with a layered and lingering sensation of spice and chocolate, a true haut-chocolat experience. source

Inside their Sweet Coquette Collection a dossier of aphrodisiac truffles and folklore await. For centuries, anxious suitors, emperors and queens have sipped many substances in the hopes of wooing a reluctant lover or arousing desire. This petite box features four powerful parfums—from oysters to mamajuana to pistachios—to inspire a memorable evening.
Sweet Coquette Collection parfums include:
Bronte: Sicilian pistachio paste + rose water + 45% deep milk chocolate
Edith: Piper Heidsieck Rose Sauvage Champagne + crushed rosebud tea + 65% dark chocolate
Kumamoto: pearl dust + Kumamoto oyster infused cream + white chocolate
Mamajuana: craft spirit infused with rum and secret spices + 65% dark chocolate + chamomile

The Edith truffle is rolled in rose bud tea, and really tased like the smell of roses! I found it a little over powering and felt strange eating dried roses. lol
I was also interested in the Kumamoto truffle, being oyster infused...you couldn't really tell, but my mind  could and I was not able to eat much of it, that's just me though.

Mini Valentine's Day Candy Bar Library
This petite set of three mini chocolate bars is the perfect little gift for the one you're smitten with. includes three of their best-selling exotic candy bar flavors tucked securely in a small, dark purple library box tied with pink and purple Valentine's Day ribbon. Add it to a larger gift or slip in in the mail with a secret note revealing your secret crush.
Mini Valentine's Day Candy Bar Library includes:
1 Mini Red FireBar (1/2 ounce), 1 Mini Bapchi's Caramel Toffee Bar (1/2 ounce) and 1 Mini Barcelona Bar (1/2 ounce).
Chocolate parfums include:

Red Fire – ancho & chipotle chilles + Ceylon cinnamon + 55% cacao dark chocolate
Bapchi's Caramel Toffee - sweet butter toffee + walnuts + pecans + 45% cacao deep milk chocolate
Barcelona – hickory smoked almonds + grey sea salt + 45% cacao deep milk chocolate
These bars are incredible!! WOW, talk about flavorful! I nibbled on each first, and could distinctivle tell each flavor in it. The Barcelona, you could taste the smoky almonds, then the sea salt will hit your tongue, amazing! That was probably my fave. The toffee was another I liked. The Red Fire is one for heat lovers. I only had a nibble before handing it to Mr. That nibble was enough for me to feel the heat in the back of my throat at the end.

-closed- Roundabouts Cupcake Sleeves Giveaway and Tomoson Review

Sponsored by Tomoson.com

A busy mom of two that invented a new product called Roundabouts® Cupcake Sleeves and began selling online in Feb 2009. They're wraps for cupcakes that transform standard cupcakes into virtually anything.
Using toppings easily found at a grocery or local party supply store, their decorative self-adhesive cupcake wrappers instantly transform cupcakes into popcorn tubs, gumball machine, sushi, and ice cream cones. These wraps are resistant to grease an oily substance, are earth friendly, and wipe clean if things get a bit messy in the kitchen! They have 70+ Designs/Themes to choose from. They will also personalize and customize Roundabouts Cupcake Sleeves too.

I received the Lil' Burger wraps for review. I baked some up special chocolate chip cookie & chocolate cupcakes for these. Just drop a cookie in the bottom of the cupcake liner then pour on your batter and bake.
I used their directions to make brown frosting, but as you can see, it's not really brown. I suggest getting brown food coloring gel and tinting white frosting instead. Using chocolate frosting would be too dark. These are $8.99 a dozen and can be ordered here.

ONE "Mommy? I'm Hungry!" reader will win a pack of Roundabouts Cupcake Sleeves too! Your choice!
