Subway Fresh Fit Meals $40 Gift Card Giveaway and Review

The Center for Science in the Public Interest released the results of “Kids’ Meals: Obesity and Poor Nutrition on the Menu,” an investigation into the nutrition quality of the kids’ meals served at the nation’s top 50 chain restaurants. SUBWAY restaurants stood out as the only chain to meet CSPI’s criteria for their entire FRESH FIT for KIDS menu.

As a parent, I know how frustrating it is to see the fried chicken fingers, burgers, and fries on every single kid's menu. Sure as a treat once in awhile, right? So when my family wants sandwiches for take out, that's OK with me! This weekend I'll be bringing more FRESH FIT sandwiches to the track for an easy eating meal. (watch my Instagram!)

All of SUBWAY restaurant’s children's meals include a 4” sub, apple slices and low-fat milk or bottled water, amount to less than 430 calories, less than 35% fat, 0 % trans fat, 35% added sugars and 770 mg of sodium, and meet both the expert and industry nutrition standards (CSPI’s and the National Restaurant Association’s Kids LiveWell Nutrition Standards).

Our SUBWAY FRESH FIT FOR KIDS meals with ham and provolone on wheat, lettuce, tomatoes, extra pickles and extra olives with apple slices and milk. I left them dry since they were for lunch later on (no mayo/mustard) and I didn't want them to turn soggy.
