You know, the Mr. & I don't get all lovey dovey here for Valentine's, that's ok. I get the kids a little something special and bake a treat, and they do the school thing but that's it.
When I was younger, my oldest sister gave me the nickname Jelly Belly so they've always reminded me of that. Do you know what my most favorite flavor of the bunch is? POPCORN! Yes! I love it! I know a lot of people dislike it, so send them all to me! :)
oh, I hate that my gifs have borders and formated wrong. ugh

ReplyDeleteK-man and I have been dating over 2 years now. We do the dinner and cards thing. OF course being 42 y.o and having a stable man in my life and never married...I get the harrassment from my friends about the 'ring' stuff...sigh. OH well, if it happens, it happens. Don't rush a man I've learned...LOL

My special Valentines are my 4 kids. Me and my husband don't do mushy either. Thanks for a cute giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I remember any really special Valentine's Days. I think each year is special. My husband and I get away from our 5 children and eat out at a nice restaurant. We spend much of the evening out walking through stores but not buying anything. Just anything to get away.
ReplyDeletemommy_34695@yahoo.com
I remember when my girlfriend bought me a diamond necklace. Just the fact that my non-romantic girlfriend bought me something that day made it the most special gift ever. I usually don't wear jewelry, but this necklace is on my person to this day. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteThe sweetest Valentine's Day I've had was about 2 yrs ago. I'm not really into dating much (Work and school consume my life!), but the guy I was dating had a very conflicting schedule..he was a night owl..I was definitely NOT! Anyway, I woke up one morning to go to class and on my car windshield I had a rose and a card. It's the smallest things that really count!
ReplyDeleteThe best V-day to date was last year. My husband and I always cook each other a lobster dinner and eat over candle light. The kids are included too. So last year, once we lit the candles my son starting to sing "Happy Birthday"! So there we sat on V-day, singing "Happy Birthday" over and over again.
ReplyDeleteIt was great and a memory to never be forgotten :)
Thanks for the chance to win!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Valentines Day was a few years ago. We actually had gotten snow on that exact day! So me, my then boyfriend, and my sister went out and threw snowballs at each other. It was so much fun!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite V-Day was the first with my husband, then boyfriend... we went to dinner and then (this is cheesy) build-a-bear and made a "love-bug" bear... we still have it :)

Before my husband and I got married, I had to work on Valentines day. So he surprised me with a cute stuffed animal when I got there, then he had a table set for 2 behind my work on my lunch break. I thought that was it, but it wasn't. He worked at Rocky mountain Chocolate Factory. So before I left work he delivered a HUGE try of chocolate cover cherries, strawberries, and Carmel Apples. Yummy! It was the best Valentines day ever!
ReplyDeleteMy first Valentine's Day being married to my WONDERFUL husband whom I love SO SO much!

We don't really do V-day in our house, but one year my husband bought me a beautiful bouquet of roses for the 13th with a card that said, "Happy Day Between." My birthday is Feb. 12 and I thought that was the sweetest thing!
ReplyDeleteMy husband proposed on Valentine's Day! He really didn't want to on that day (it's so cliche and expected) but it just happened to be the day I was visiting him at college. :)
ReplyDeletei don't have one because i never have a valentine on vday.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big V-Day person. One year though I went to my then boyfriend's gig, and it was pretty cool. Thanks!! sbcashortie (at) hotmail (dot) com

My special Valentine's treat is always the same---hubby cooks for me. He's not so good at it, but don't tell him, since I think the effort he puts into it is sweet!
ReplyDeleteOne of my fave valentine's day memories was the year we all got sick. LOL..stay with me. The kids, hubby, and I snuggled into bed together and watched cartoons all day. When I woke up (with little feet in my face) the kids were all smooshed together with daddy and teddy bears and stuffed dinosaurs...it was just adorable. I will never forget how much love I felt looking at my 3 most important people in the world! Thanks! I loveeeee Jelly Bellys and kisses...MMMM!

My husband and I's first Valentines together was spent with me in the hospital having a miscarriage. The next year, he tried to make me forget about this now very emotional time of year. Breakfast in bed, lunch delivered picnic style to my office, and dinner at the best restaraunt we could afford. As well as the biggest basket I have ever seen, hand decorated by him, filled with cookies, chocolate, treats, nicnacks, balloons, flowers, and a beautiful bracelet.

I always HATED Valentine's Day - I always dated losers who didn't seem to have a romantic bone in their bodies. Once I was finally blessed with a good, loving man in my life, our first Valentine's Day after we were married was so nice, but it didn't compare to our second one - our son, Daniel, was born at 2:04am on Valentine's Day in 2007. Needless to say, Valentine's Day is one of my most favorite days of the year, and will be for the rest of my life.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was my first one with my husband. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was when my husband gave me the whole day off. What a nice day.
ReplyDeleteThe first Valentine's day with my husband (boyfriend then) was really special. He was so romantic. Great giveaway! The numbers on the comments look great too!

My favorite Valentines Day was when my daughter was in first grade. Her class made truffles and each child wrapped up two for their mom. She was so proud when I opened it. She couldnt wait to eat one!
ReplyDeleteMy first Valentine's day with my boyfriend we were actually apart, but he sent me the sweetest care package. It was my first year of grad school and it meant a lot!
