Manna Organics Bread Giveaway and Review

Manna Organics, LLC is a family owned and operated bakery. They are a small team of dedicated bakers and make Manna Bread® by hand in small batches, with lots of love and care, in their family owned and operated bakery in the Chicagoland area.

If you haven’t had sprouted Manna bread before, it’s not really bread. It can be best described as a meal of whole sprouted grains, moist and denser than bread. Muffin or cakelike in consistency. Baked at low temperatures for a short time, almost raw. It doesn’t rise, has no yeast, no salt, no flour, no oils.

Their artisan sourdough breads, launched in March this year. They are made Bavarian style, are much denser and flavorful than your typical sandwich bread. Tastes great and is very different compared to the American or San Francisco style sourdough breads. They use only organic rye and/or wheat flour as a base, and do not add any yeast, oils, sweeteners, and baking aids to these breads.

We had the pleasure of reviewing four of the Manna Organic's loaves of bread. I enjoyed them as toast with cream cheese or butter and as opened faced sandwiches. The kids liked them toasted with the cream cheese. Manna Organics is NOT gluten free. I'm glad I could try them before I went GF.
