BEKA Bain Marie Review

The BEKA Bain Marie is a double-walled pot that works the same way as a water bath. You heat up the water in between the walls, and that helps avoid boiling over or burning of the food you are heating up. The Bain Marie is suitable for all heat sources, including induction.

-Ideal for heating baby food, sauces, milk and low fat foods, without the risk of burning or boiling over
-Cooking of rice and semolina dishes

I used this to melt some chocolate for a dessert. You only need about 1/4L of water or if you add to much it will squirt out and that water will ruin your melting chocolate. When it's heated up and ready to use it'll steam and sizzle sound can be heard. It melted so nice and quickly. I love that it's a 1.7 L Bain Marie so your custards or sauces have all that room and won't splash around as if you were using a bowl over simmering water/bath. This is another of Beka's fabulous products, well made heavy sturdy stainless steel. It features a measuring guide on the inside of the product, a cool to the touch handle with a water guide.
