In this book, Kathleen offers her tips for saving time in the kitchen, such as toasting nuts the day before, make and freeze the streusel ahead of time. Rolled out pie dough can be frozen right in the pie dish (and chilled dough bakes better too! I may do this tip for the Holidays).
For my recipe review of this Baking with Friends, I made my family her Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies and later turned them into Pumpkin Ice Cream Sandwiched Cookies. They loved them!
These cookies have a soft cake like texture.
