Review and Giveaway: Hamilton Beach Thermal Cooler Blender

This giveaway has ended.

The spectacular folks at Hamilton Beach http://www.hamiltonbeach.com/blenders-thermal-cooler-blenders.html
have sent over a Thermal Cooler Plus 10 Speed Blender for us to review.

Hamilton Beach® Thermal Cooler Plus 10 Speed Blender• 2 ways to blend - blend in the cooler for portable ice-cold drinks or use the plastic jar for drinks at home • Cooler keeps icy drinks cold up to 8 hours • Includes 48 oz thermal cooler, glass jar & base • 40 oz glass jar with Wave-Action® system • 550 Watts peak power & 10 speeds • Easy-pour spout • Comfortable handle • Double-wall thermal cooler • 3 year limited warranty

I wasted no time running and getting ingredients to make a Fruity protein smoothie for the kids! I was really impressed with the power it had mixing all the ingredients I put in it. I wanted to try both the glass pitcher and the thermal jug so I did half the recipe in one and and half in the other. Since the kids were in school, I wanted to see how cold it would really keep the smoothies, it says up to 8 hours! So I made these at 10am and they would be home by 4pm. Great! After I mixed in the thermal cooler, I stored it on the counter until later. A couple of minutes later I heard crackling sounds in the cooler! The coldness of the smoothies was activating the thermal part! How neat! Sure enough when we got home at 4pm, it was still cold and ready to drink! Stay tuned for my post of my Fruity protein smoothie recipe.

Win a Hamilton Beach® Single-Serve Blender with 2 Jars & 2 Lids• Travel lid lets you drink from the jar • Fits in most car drink holders • Great for fruit smoothies, icy drinks, shakes & more • Stainless steel blades • One-touch blending • Easy storage • Less cleaning

I make a fruit and yogurt smoothie every morning for myself and my husband to take on the go to work. It is really yummy but the daily use is killing my current blender.

Hey Rachelle....
I use my blender most during summer months to make a slushy-smoothie drink. A blueberry-strawberry-banana slushy with a tbsp of protein powder, Greek yogurt, honey, some grated lime/lemon/orange rind with plenty of ice!
This is very filing.
Thanks,
Priya (priyavardhana@gmail.com)

This is a great idea! Too often I make a smoothie and don't know what to do with the leftovers. (Okay! I usually eat it, but now I could save some for later.)

I would use this to make smoothies (obviously), they're a healthy way to curb a sweet tooth/milkshake craving. However, I think my mom would appreciate this more than me, so I'd give it to her. She's using this dinky little thing that isn't very powerful, and it always leaves huge chunks of fruit floating around the smoothies, no matter how much you blend.
Thank you!

Ooh, love it. I would totally make Peanut Butter Boy's chocolate peanut butter "ice cream", made with chocolate protein powder, peanut butter, frozen banana and peach/nectarine and a little yogurt. It is awesome. You've got to try it!
Your smoothie looks great. I love just throwing anything and everything (within the limits) together and seeing how it comes out. Always good!
