Auntie Anne’s At-Home Baking Kit: Review and Giveaway

Just in time for the holiday gift giving and festive baking season, the fresh baked goodness of Auntie Anne’s products from the world’s largest hand-rolled soft pretzel chain can be discovered in the comforts of one’s home kitchen when they prepare the new At-Home Baking Kit.

The easy-to-prepare kit comes with step-by-step instructions to make 10 Original or Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels, 15 Pretzel Dogs, or one deep dish pizza for out-of-town guests or kids seeking a twist to their typical weekday lunches. Key ingredients in the kit are a yeast packet, special at-home baking Auntie Anne’s dough mix, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon sugar. Since the dough mix is versatile, a recipe for making a deep dish pizza is included on the kit packaging and other recipes for dishes such as stuffing, cinnamon pull apart bread (monkey bread), and bread pudding can be found by visiting http://www.auntieannesrecipes.com/

The art of pretzel making and creatively experimenting with the pretzel dough through shapes, letters, and numbers is an activity kids enjoy. Making the kit offers an entertaining event for a rainy day or a birthday party sleepover. The kit also provides an easy to wrap gift for a teacher, hostess, or child’s birthday party.

The suggested retail price is $5.99 to $7.99. In addition to participating Auntie Anne's stores, the kit is available at specialty retailers, a club store, and regional grocery chains located throughout the United States. The most up-to-date listing of retailers can be viewed on www.auntieannes.com/BakingKitRetailers.aspx.

I was sent a box of Auntie Anne’s At-Home Baking Kit and decided to make their Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels bites and some  Pretzel Dogs. These were both very easy to make, the kit includes most everything you'll need plus directions. Once you have the pretzel or bites shaped, you'll dip them into a baking soda water solution really fast and then bake off. These pretzel dogs came out just beautiful! But they taste even more amazing! They were SO soft delicious. The kids loved the little cinnamon sugar bites I made from a few leftover ropes and scraps. If you haven't tried Auntie Anne's, you must!
