Geothermal Genius geothermal heat pumps  are another way to save costs heating and cooling your home.
"How a Geothermal Heat Pump Works: Many animals hibernate a few feet below the ground for a reason; it's warmer there. Believe it or not the ground below the frost line is a constant 55 degrees year round. When it's 5 degrees outside it's 55 degrees under the surface, when its 95 degrees outside its 55 degrees below the surface. Ground Source Heat Pumps take advantage of this temperature difference to heat and cool."
Having a cost geothermal heat pump put in for your home might be something to consider.

The pumps sound awesome! I never knew the ground stayed at 55 degrees all year. How smart to make a pump that takes advantage of that.

working in Energy Services, I had heard about geothermal heat pumps and think they are a great idea-I too was amazed that the temperature was pretty much the same all year round which makes for warm in the winter and cooler summer.
