More Make It Fast, Cook It Slow: Slow-Cooker Cookbook Review

I was sent a copy of More Make It Fast, Cook It Slow: 200 Brand-New, Budget-Friendly, Slow-Cooker Recipes for review. I'm really glad too, because Mr. bought me a new crock-pot and I'd like to get a lot of use out of it, more than I did my other one. This one seems to regulate heat better and not dry out my meat, so it probably will get used more. Anyways this book is packed with recipes to try out in your slow cooker. The table of contents are listed by price range (being budget friendly) including everything from drinks, breakfasts, soups, beef and pork, poultry, fish, vegetarian and even desserts! Since I had a pork roast already the recipe I made was even more budget friendly for me, Root Beer Pulled Pork. It was something different for us, since I have never cooked with soda (Ooops, I did! I make that soda can chicken once!). Anyways, this smelled so good while cooking all day. Once I shredded the pork up, I poured some of the sauce over it and served it on buns. We thought it tasted great! (the leftovers were eaten another day with mashed whiped yams). I can't wait to try out some more of her recipes in this book.
