Organic Bistro and Helen’s Kitchen Giveaway and Review

Organic Bistro®, responsible for a wide array of wholesome, frozen meals featuring nutrient-rich ingredients, is introducing a new gluten-free seafood entrée with sustainably-caught wild Alaskan salmon in a homemade pesto sauce.

Ideal for health-conscious consumers seeking a convenient and gourmet meal experience, the wild salmon is accompanied by a chickpea pilaf rich in whole grains, along with fresh, organic zucchini and green beans. The entrée is high in protein and fiber, low in sodium, made with organic ingredients, and free of GMOs, trans fat, MSG, antibiotics and steroids.

Organic Bistro sources all of its seafood from Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified fisheries and Wild Alaskan Salmon was rated Best Choice by Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch®.

This new entree has recently become available in specialty and natural food stores across U.S. for an SRP of $6.49 per 10oz package.

Organic Bistro Whole Life Meals are here to help you maintain your momentum by eating better and feeling well, even in the middle of your busy day. I was offered to try the Organic Bistro Wild Alaskan Salmon but unfortunately my health food store was out of stock (it must be good), and only had a few select other entrees to choose from. I chose to try the Ginger Chicken, with green tea glazed vegetables and almond pilaf. Honestly this was not bad for a frozen meal, the flavors tasted great. Organic Bistro meals are all gluten free.

I was also offered to try Organic Bistro's sister brand Helen’s Kitchen burritos. Again my store had just a few select varieties of any of their meals and since I had just gone gluten free, I went with their gluten free Cheese Enchilada, which by the way has tofu pieces in it and covered in a red spicy sauce. To be honest, I wasn't crazy about this one, not enough cheesiness inside, a little spicy for my likes and the tofu was strange to me in cheese enchilada (and I like tofu). Not all of Helen's Kitchen products are gluten free so be sure to double check. They also carry burritos, meat alternatives and (meal) bowls.
