I gave back with my tip
#342) Making sandwiches fun for the younger ones. Use large cookie cutter shapes to creat fun sandwiches. Make the desired sandwich first then use a cookie cutter and carefully press onto the sandwich making a fun shape. Wrap up in foil
to help keep it from getting smashed or place in a sandwich box.
My little girl is always asking for her sandwich to be cut into a shape. I have those big comfort grip cookie cutters and they work great for this.
The random integer genorator liked my idea best, and before I knew it, a package was at my door! My girls were so excited! I even got a peek at those super cute Cupcake Pop Recipe Cards she has! Thanks SO much Angie!
This is such a neat umbrella, double lined and huge!

this is just such a cute idea! i don't have any little ones to make lunches for but for *myself*, i'd still rock it.
These are soooo cute! Lucky you to get a surprise package :)
I'm thinking the apple cookie cutter would also be cute to make little sandwiches for one of our teacher luncheons. I'll bet they'd think that was darling!
What a great way to add a little fun to the kids lunches. Very cute!
There are some premade sandwich cutters that cut sandwiches into dinosaur or heart shapes... I kind of prefer those to cookie cutters because there is much less waste!
I bought really pretty holiday napkins for every holiday and I made their lunch every single day because I wouldn't let my children eat school food. Government approved says enough for me. I would send the napkins for the whole week of the holiday in their lunch bag. And for a few weeks at Christmas. Evidently they were the only ones who got them which made it special. I didn't know how much it mattered until my older son had moved and saw me do it one day and made a very sweet comment.
I'm wondering what you do with the leftovers. Do you throw them away?

Anonymous- Those are really cute cutters too, I like that you can get 2 little sandwiches out of them.
Amber- Cute idea!
kotiatina- No, I do not throw them out. They are a great snack for me later on. I don't mind the crust :)
Hi Rachelle,
This is one great tip, kids always enjoy their food better if it comes in shapes! We'd like to feature your tip on Chef's Tip. The best part is you don't even need to register or sign up. Please email me at chefstip(at)gmail(dot)com if interested. Thank you :-)
