I was contacted by the wonderful folks over at YouCanMakeThis.com http://www.youcanmakethis.com/ and asked if I wanted to review a great eBook of Personalized Name Pillows! How perfect!! I have been saying lately how I wanted to sit down at my sewing machine again and relearn how to sew and make cute things. It's been since Junior High since I have really sewn anything. What a neat site they have, I've bookmarked it for future reference.
Well, I haven't had the chance yet to get to make my 3 name pillows, but let me tell you a little about the book. I would consider myself a newbie at sewing, and by reading the instructions to this, it seems pretty darn easy! Trace out your letters, iron them onto your main panel, sew a few fabric strips together for the border, sew on your back panel and stuff! How easy! I think it's perfect for beginners and novice seamstresses. Once I can find all the fabric colors I'd like to use, get some thread, I'll sit down and have my hand at making a personalized name pillow or 2 or 3!
You can also watch some of the How-To video here. This 27 pg eBook comes with step by step instructions, photos, patterns and comes in a PDF file for your Acrobat Reader, a $6.95 value!
WIN!
So, do you sew? If so, I bet you could whip a couple of these out in no time! Would you like to win 1 of 2 eBooks? Let me know if you're a beginner, or have been sewing for years! A project has to be pretty easy for me to be comfortable at the sewing machine! If I was lucky enough to win this e-book I'd have to make 7 pillows, one for each of my grandchildren!

I'm really good at sewing by hand, but forget it if I need a sewing machine!!!! I cannot figure out my mom's sewing machine for the life of me!
If I got this, I would definitely make one for myself and one each for my niece and nephew. I'd probably make one for each new baby that is born too!!! I always make a blanket, now I can make a pillow too!
My mom is an experienced sewer and with her help I think we could make several of these. I can think of at least 4 I could make now including for my daughter and some nieces. These are so cute!
I follow!
I've been sewing forever, but I'm still not great at it. I'd be making pillows for my two kiddos and a niece.

I'm sure my kids would really like those...but I'm really not a sewer Thanks for the opportunity!

I dont sew much...but REALLY like the idea of pillows and names, and words....I would make one for each of my kiddos (5) and then ones for holidays...BELIEVE...LOVE..GIVE THANKS....
We ahve similiar blog backgrounds :)
I enjoy sewing. This would be a fun one for me. I'd like to make one for each of my four boys, and then start working towards Christmas presents for a few nieces and nephews.
I've always wanted to learn to sew but have been so intimidated by the bobbin thing! Isn't that ridiculous? About two weeks ago I went out and bought a cheap little sewing machine to get me started. I'd make one pillow to start and hopefully I'll be on a roll after that :).
Thanks for the opportunity!
