Review: Lifeway Kefir

The great folks with Lifeway Kefir sent us six 32 fl oz. full size bottles of their low fat probiotic Kefir in three great flavors. We all enjoyed the Vanilla, Strawberry and Pomegranate Kefir flavors. I thought it was much like those drinkable yogurts, not as thick as a smoothie though. I saw they even have recipes for their Kefir! Take a peek!

"Kefir is a milk-based cultured drink that is popular in Eastern Europe and is said to be more nutritional than yogurt.
With its 10 exclusive live and active probiotic cultures, the good-for-you bacteria, Lifeway Kefir is a creamy and delicious yogurt-like smoothie the whole family will enjoy. Not only does it keep digestive and immune systems intact, it also helps prevent common side effects from taking antibiotics, helps with lactose intolerance and weight loss. Plus, it's an excellent source of calcium, protein and fiber.
Lifeway is the country’s leading manufacturer of kefir, with multiple flavors and varieties that include lowfat, whole milk and organic versions as well as a children’s line, and a provider of other probiotic natural and organic dairy products for health-conscious consumers."

Since we loved the LOWFAT STRAWBERRY KEFIR best here is that info:
Creamy, Pro biotic, Yogurt-like Smoothie
INGREDIENTS: Cultured Pasteurized Lowfat Milk, Nonfat Milk, Organic Cane Juice, Strawberry Juice Concentrate, Natural Flavors, Inulin (a natural dietary fiber), Red Beet Juice For Color, Vit A Palmitate, Vit D 3, CONTAINS MILK, GLUTEN FREE

If you hurry on over to their site, you can print out a coupon for a FREE 32 fl oz bottle! Hurry it expires July 6th!

The Pomegranate Kefir is my favorite!!!! Before that one came out, I would mix peach and strawberry together. Yumm...

I've used Kefir in cheesecake too for an extra zing. Love the stuff!!!
