Simply Great Chicken

I saw this chicken recipe on Coleen's blog which is also link from Katy's blog, and linked again to Bunny's Warm Oven where she posted it from a cookbook. Now here it is on my blog too. I wasn't sure what to think about brown suace and Italian dressing together...but it works! It really is a great sauce for chicken and very easy too! Perfect for a busy weeknight. I have made it twice already since finding this recipe.

Simply Great Chicken
Source: Country Chicken cookbook via here, slightly adapted

3 lbs boneless chicken breasts
1 (.7 oz.) envelope dry Italian salad dressing mix
1/2 c. packed brown sugar

Place chicken in a single layer in a greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish. In a small bowl, combine dry salad dressing mix and brown sugar; sprinkle over chicken.
Bake, uncovered, @ 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until juices run clear. Baste with sauce throughout cook time.

Looks yummy! I am already a fan of marinating chicken in italian dressing (bottled)....I usually do it for a couple of days, then throw it on the tasty!
