Cheerios Cheer‏ Giveaway and MyBlogSpark Review

Everyone can use a little pick me up now and then. But for the millions of military families manning the fort at home while their loved ones are away serving, a gesture of Cheer is especially welcome.

When our troops are called to serve, their families must rise to meet the challenges of service as well. To thank them, Cheerios and the USO have partnered in a postcard campaign that spreads Cheer directly to these honorable military families and supports USO programs.

Here’s how it works:
During the months of October and November, 2011, specially-marked boxes of Cheerios cereal will feature Cheer postcards on the front of the box. Consumers can simply cut out the postcard from the Cheerios logo, write a message of thanks on the back, add a stamp and mail the pre-addressed card to the USO. The USO will deliver the Cheer card to military families across the country.

For each postcard received through November 2012, Cheerios will make a $1 donation to the USO to help fund programs that support military families.

To kick off the campaign, Cheerios has already donated $150,000 to the USO and will donate up to an additional $100,000 based upon the number of postcards received from specially marked boxes now through November 30th, 2012.

Sending a “Cheer” postcard is a simple way to say thanks and lift the spirits of our country’s military families. So, take a moment out of your day to spread some Cheer and send a message of thanks. Ours is going in the mail now.

We received our Cheerios Cheer package and right away tried out the cool cereal dispenser. The kids love it. It fits perfectly under our cupboards on the counter tops and they can serve themselves. You can fill it pretty much any dry food (candy is pictured on it) but no way, no candy. haha
We cut out the postcard wrote a CHEERful message and it's on it's way. Oh and I just love love love the yellow ceramic bowl, it's too cute.

My giveaway Cheerios Cheer prize pack will contain:

I'm impressed with the strength of these families letting their loved ones go to do work that they know is dangerous.

I'm not sure how to comment. What kind of inspiration are you looking for?
Ourselves & others I know continue to live their lives while worrying about their families in the military, but I worry about the ones that aren't also.
God bless those who serve, but the teachers in my family inspire me also.

hubby served in the air force and was stationed in Japan. He's now a FF and paramedic and to me that's just as noble a profession.

They inspire me by taking on the responsibility they do as one parent takes care of the home while the other fights for our country.

Making that decision to sign on the line not knowing where they will be stationed. That leap of faith, the dedication to keep the rest of us free.

I posted my daily tweet today and there was some technical difficulties. Please only count one of the tweet entries for 11/21 as a real entry and delete the other three. So sorry about that!

I have a very good friend who is in the military and it's very inspiring to watch his wife, home alone for most of the year, survives without him! She raises her children, keeps house, and works full time. Now that is commitment to our country!

I have several family members in the military, and I am so proud of them! I know the great sacrifice they (and their families) make for our country, and I am so grateful. May God bless and protect them all.

I love Cheerios!! They are one of the few cereals I eat in the morning. I love the cute postcard idea they came up with! Even if I don't win I want to send a bunch of these little postcards, how fun!
P.S. I love your recipes, especially the gluten free stuff

My husband is in the army, and everyday I am inspired by those around me. The men and women who serve give up so much, and so do their family's. Spouses stationed far from home taking care of their kids and home. They are all so strong.
