Look past the fruitcake and cookies this holiday season and give something more unique and meaningful. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
For the person who has everything, or for the shopper who doesn’t want to purchase another meaningless gift, the World Vision Gift Catalog offers an alternative (or addition to) traditional holiday gift giving.
The catalog has more than 250 items ranging in price from $16 to $39,000 that help children and families in need here in U.S. and around the world. Included in the catalog are several items that foodies on everyone’s gift list might enjoy such as Family Food Kit, farm animals, fruit trees, drought-resistant seeds and many more.
In addition World Vision offers Maximum Impact Fund gifts that are used where resources are most desperately needed. With a financial contribution, the gift giver can select one of 36 free gift items that can be given to a loved one or kept for yourself and at the same time help a person in need.
Please follow along with World Vision Gift Catalog on Facebook , Pinterest and see their YouTube video that explains how the Gift Catalog works.
For my review I was sent these beautiful set of two hand-carved serving spoons made of Olive wood delivered in a gift bag of African fabric hand-sewn by local women of Kenya. The serving spoons are made to benefit orphans of the Kamba tribe in Kenya. Each one is unique just like the children they help.
I am being offered a giveaway for the very same set of spoons for you! This is a quick givaway so enter now!

Not this year - I am done with gift shopping! - but definitely next year.
I donate monthly to them and support a child in Albania. They are a wonderful organization.
Probably won't make a difference for this year's giving, but it is certainly something to think about for next year. Thanks for the giveaway.

I'm finished Christmas shopping, but I will definitely think about next time around.
