Puro Fairtrade Coffee Review

Puro Fairtrade Coffee was created in 2005 and since its conception, has always sourced Fairtrade, organic and shade grown coffee. In this day and age, with a growing ethical and environmental awareness, people want to know that they are purchasing a product that comes from a conscious heart and therefore paving a way for a better future. They are at the forefront of buying and protecting rainforests and are actively working alongside the World Land Trust. For every cup of coffee sold, money is given to buy and protect areas of rainforest in South America. To date, Puro has saved over 5,600 acres of rainforest across 3 Puro reserves in Ecuador, Brazil and Colombia with the help of loyal clients.

Here is a short Puro documentary right from the heart of the South American Rainforests, watch online at www.vimeo.com/fairtradecoffee/our-story.

Puro can be found in UK’s leading chains of cafes and restaurants, such as National Trust, Le Pain Quotidien, Leon, and Gourmet Burger Kitchen, amongst many others. They are widely available in mainland Europe, Africa, Australa, Asia and recently in Canada, and are currently looking for a US distributor. Anyone out there??

I was sent a nice package of Puro coffee to try. Mr. was so excited I have to say! He's the biggest coffee drinker in our home. I like to mix a little with hot cocoa to make a mocha so I don't think my review would count as well as his would since he drinks his coffee mostly black, tasting the coffee flavors more.
I was offered whole beans or ground and went for beans and then took them to my grocery store and had them ground both coarse for the coffee press and regular ground for his coffee maker.

Mr. really loved each of these coffee. We wish they were sold in the U.S. so we could pick some up, perhaps there is a distributor out there who'd like to help out?
