Mom's Spaghetti Bolognese Sauce

{updated photo}

1 lb ground beef
1 Tbl minced garlic
1/2 onion, diced
2 large cans tomato sauce (I now use crushed tomatoes w/basil)
1 small can tomato paste
1 Tbl granulated sugar
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried basil
1/4 tsp. black pepper
3 bay leafs
sliced mushrooms (optional)

Brown ground beef and onion in a medium skillet. Drain off grease. Add in remaining ingredients, bring to boil. Simmer 1 hour, discard bay leafs before serving. Serve over pasta with parmesan cheese.

Thank you white on rice couple! It's a recipe my mom made growing up, and I'm happy my family likes it.
