This review sure made my Husband happy! We were sent Cholula Hot Sauce! My Husband sure knows that Cholula is all about enhancing the flavor of food. Cholula is his only hot sauce, and he's so happy that our big super warehouse carries a large 2 pack of it! lol, maybe I should just get him this! I think their little wooden caps are so cute, and even though many may argue, that is a woman on their bottle, she's the one who makes Cholula so flavorful! =)

The Cholula difference is all in its exclusive blend of piquin and arbol peppers, ground into a delicate pepper paste then combined with signature seasonings and natural ingredients. The result is a flavorful hot sauce with a balanced heat for which it is fondly referred to as "The Flavorful Fire".

I was first to try the Chili Garlic on some one of my easy cheapo meals, beef & rice burritos. I only use a few drops on my foods, I don't like my mouth burning, lol. This one tasted as great as it smells! I haven't tried the others yet, but have smelled them, I can't wait to try the Chili lime on fish tacos!! Sounds sooo good! I wasn't crazy about the Chipotle, I'm not a big fan of smokiness, but maybe if I cut it with some sour cream for a drizzle on sandwiches I bet it's good. Next time I make enchiladas, I'll add some of these sauces to them. Mmmm!

*I did forget to mention, I had a large Brunch here this past weekend, and I had these Cholula sauces out for my egg dises, one guest loved the Chipotle sauce!

Bed Bug Proof Cover Complete Set: Tomoson Review

We were sent a Bed Bug Proof Cover Complete Set by Allergy Guard Direct. We bought it for our oldest's bed since everyone else's bed are a 1 mattress style (our King and their bunk beds). We do not have bed bugs, but these covers are great for other reasons too, such as dust mites, they're allergen proof and water proof too! I know a lot of Hotels and Inns have been in the news about having bed bugs and I wish they'd all invest in these covers, since Mr. will be traveling more, it's scary to think what kind of bed he's really sleeping on! ACK! They also make a Bed Bug Proof Travel Sack for reasons like that.

Bed Bugs can easily bite through normal bedding. They make their Bed Guard Covers from a special knit fabric that is lab-tested and certified to be Bed Bug Proof. They also use a heavy duty zipper that stops Bed Bugs from escaping an infested bed or stops a new mattress from ever being infested.

Our set included a mattress cover, box spring cover and 2 pillow case covers (which I forgot to add to our photo). Silly me, I think I ordered the wrong size in depth, because the top cover is a little extra big. These are nicely made covers, super light weight and I just love that the mattress is protected in more ways than one. You can purchase these bed bug protective covers here online.

Their Mattress & Pillow encasements are made from 100% polyester which is laminated to a urethane membrane. The weave of the fabric, which is a circular knit polyester, has a "satin like" feel to it and is very smooth and cool to the touch.

My Eggland's Best Brunch {post 2}

So last weekend I hosted a Brunch here, sponsored by Eggland's Best eggs. There was 21 of us here (parents + kids) and I made sure there was lots to eat! So my menu for my Brunch was everything eggs, lol. A few of the recipes I have posted here already but I'm going to make a special recipe post over at my recipe blog as well this weekend. Here's what kept me busy in my kitchen:

During my food prep I took some time with Eggland's Best eggs, as I was boiling some for deviled eggs, they had teeny air bubbles coming up from them, and they were making chirping sounds!! It was so strange! Then I did a test comparison of their eggs to an ordinary egg from the shell:

We all hung out, ate and ate and ate, the kids played, the guys migrated to the garage then a little while later I held my raffle and mentioned a few facts about Eggland's Best eggs. I was sent 2 flavors to review the Zevia Cola and Zevia Ginger Root Beer. I tasted the cola first and saved the ginger root beer one for the kids to try. Immediately I could taste the natural stevia in it and to me, it taste like those artificial sugar substitutes which I do not like at all. I do not drink any diet sodas (and don't even drink regular soda that often) but I was hoping Zevia would be different. I could not get past the taste of it, and to me there was an after taste. Bummer. When the kids got home from school we popped open the other soda to try. Of course they thought it was great, but again I couldn't drink it. I did taste more of a ginger flavor than root beer though. The carbonation in these is great and if you're one to drink those other diet sodas, I say give Zevia a try you just may like these!

We're no stranger to Funky Monkey snacks, we've reviewed these wonderful snacks before here. This time they sent us a couple of new flavors to try. I loved the Pink Pineapple, it's a little tart from the pineapple but also sweet from the guava and the natural sweetnedd from the pineapple as well. I saved the MangOJ for my oldest, she loves mango anything, and of course loved these! The Carnival Mix is great, it's got some of everything in it. I think all of these were a hit, surely with the kids. They are perfect for a school time snack. I love that they come in single packages, are a dried snack so no messy sticky hands, they taste great and have fun packaging too.

We were sent this super adorable Chillin' Nursery Art Print from children's illustrator Carla Daly. Carla's range of  nursery art  are high quality prints, painted in acrylic and then printed on a 300gsm watercolour paper.
